I Know Where I'm Going is a new book by writer
Michael Bracewell and artist Linder. It functions as a gazetteer for the
Heysham and Morecambe coast, once described on a Victorian postcard as
'The Naples of the North'. Whilst investigating and illustrating how a
landscape can recollect its own past with a particular regional intensity,
this book is also concerned with how our experience of the future can
be discovered through history.
Beyond Reason: Ordure

at ground level, mediated by the universal glue of sputum and excreta.
Differentiated at the surface by the droppings of local and global consumption,
the deposits of fast food, broken furniture, news media debris, plastic
bags, condoms, sanitary towels, cigarette butts, betting slips, syringes
etc."
This is a book about ordure in all its manifestations - shit, dirt, trash,
waste, pus, pollution and dogma. The fictional Collection of Ordure is
the central object, its curator, collector and artist the main characters.

To continue our tradition of working with writers to produce innovative and experimental texts, Book Works is developing a new series entitled Sharp Talk funded by the Arts Council of England Literature department.
We have commissioned new works drawn from a broad range writers including;
Dario Azzellini, Will Bradley, Lavinia Greenlaw, Duncan McLaren, Malu
Halasa and Julian Stallabrass. Each will produce a new text, developed
from a selection of our recent titles, which will form a series of emailable,
downloadable works, specially designed by Red Leader Industries.
