Library Relocations edited by Ian Hunt (1997)

Library Relocations was a project that used the library as a starting point for new work. Research in four UK libraries led to installations and publications. This general publication documents the projects that speculate on the ways in which art, reading historical research, criticism and interpretation are enmeshed. Mel Jackson's the Brazen Oracle investigates the connections between economics, magic, 12th century science and cinema. Pamela Golden?s works are explored in an essay focusing on the senses and David Bunn's in an essay on interpretation; Pavel Buchler's projection work is explored by casting aside books and by reporting on a day wandering around Manchester. The soft back book is illustrated in colour and black and white, 84pp, published in an edition of 1,000.
