The Globexpander

The Globexpander has been produced in conjunction with The World and Its Inhabitants, and contains the following explanation in the instruction manual: 'The Globexpander is a device enabling the operator to inflate a latex balloon with Humour and in doing so create an illusion of the World'. The edition contains a beatifully-made rhodium-plated brass instrument for inflating a globe, as well as several tiny canisters of helium and the instruction booklet. Produced in an edition of 24 signed numbered copies, with an accompanying set of notes explaining how to assemble it and presented in a special box. It has been designed by Paul Lincoln in collaboration with Book Works.
